Once More Unto the Breach, Dear Friends!

People work better as couples. I have realized this. To that end, I am undertaking an effort to get coupled. I have not done this before. Every girlfriend I’ve had, has chosen me. The usual scenario is a woman would be interested, we’d go out a few times, she’d keep me for a night, and Boom!, I had a girlfriend, without really planning on it. Because I wasn’t really invested, relationships lasted a few months. I would like to change that. I like to do things. I am tired of doing them alone.

People are much more effective when they have support. Religion provides the spiritual sustenance, but a person only has so much energy available in the secular world. Couples support and reinforce each other, providing synergy. 1 + 1 = 3; ask any parents. While most couple’s projects are less commitment-intensive, the collaboration works the same. The principals of a committed couple are able to accomplish much more together than each, individually.

While it is much easier to deepen already-established relationships. the women of interest I know have exercised their right-of-refusal, leading me to cast a wide net. One woman was a couple, which I didn’t know, and embarrassing. Net-casting these days is usually through the internet, and the various dating sites. The motivation behind this blog was to document the modern dating experiences, as seen by me. The idea is to register on several sites, and see what happens. While I will document the dates, I will not be exposing any personal information. Name, ethnicity, appearance (except clothing), hair, and the like, will not be seen here. No photos. Also, I will not be giving this blog address to my dates. I can’t prevent the odd find, but no need to add fuel.

I will be sharing my primary blog address at https://bkivey.wordpress.com. I figure if things go well on the first date, I’ll give them the address, and we’ll see if there’s a second date. I’ve been writing the blog for fifteen years, so if someone wants to know me, it’s a good way, conveniently located in one place.

That’s the story behind this hopefully short-lived blog. And here’s a picture:
